Antonios Kounalakis Award

We are delighted to announce that the Kounalakis family and the Greece Is The Word staff have partnered to establish the Antonios Kounalakis Award, an award which is presented monthly to individuals of Greek descent who make a positive difference in their communities. The purpose of the Antonios Kounalakis Award is to recognize and honor individuals of Greek descent who have made a difference in their communities through their initiative, excellence, community focus, and diligence. Individuals who leave things better than they found them. Those who roll up their sleeves, who humbly handle any task. Team players. Those we admire and who make us want to be better and do better.
