Rules and Requirements
Please carefully review the Antonios Kounalakis Award rules and requirements below before nominating anyone to receive the Antonios Kounalakis Award. Thank you!

Any member of the Greek diasporic community may submit a nomination. Nominations shall be submitted via the nomination form linked below. Previous winners may not be nominated again for at least one year after winning.

The Antonios Kounalakis Award shall be awarded monthly.

Nominations shall be submitted and reviewed on a rolling basis.

The Antonios Kounalakis Award Committee shall be comprised of the Kounalakis family and the Greece Is The Word staff.

The Antonios Kounalakis Award Committee shall select award recipients based upon
1. the positive impact they make,
2. demonstration of a sustained commitment to their communities, and
3. the nominees not having received and not expecting to receive financial compensation for their actions.

Each month’s Antonios Kounalakis Award winner shall be announced in the Greece Is The Word newsletter.

A running list of past recipients of the Antonios Kounalakis Award shall be available on the Greece Is The Word website.

Nominators shall complete the Antonios Kounalakis Award nomination form provided below. After completing and submitting the nomination form, nominators shall email at least six (6) photos of their nominee to peter@masonstreetproductions.com. Nominators shall only email photos which they have permission to share. Nominators shall provide the name(s) of the photographer(s) of the photos they email. Nominees under the age of eighteen (18) shall have both their nominators' and parents' or legal guardians' names on the entry form.
